1、Pixel
A pixel is the main thing we should look into when purchase a camera. If pixel is too low, our video will become blurred. So we just choose a high pixel camera? Need to aware that we chose a high pixel camera, our video file will become larger. It's not only affecting the memory storage issue, furthermore, it affects our speed of transfer the file as well.
So what we looking for ?
1080Pit also refer as 1920 x 1080 (resolution), 1920 x 1080 = 2,073,600 pixel, 2 megapixel.
We should choose suitable pixel, if we choose higher than 1080p, for example, 4k. Our video will become large and huge. But if we choose lower than 1080p, our video might blurred.
2、Frame Per Second (FPS)
Frame per second (FPS) is the second time we should consider when buying car camera. Frame rate normally divides into 30fps, 60fps and 120fps. We can imagine a video is built up from many frames of the picture. 60 frames of pictures flip it fast we will get a video. The more the frame of picture flips in one second, the smoother the video.
If the FPS is low, our video will end up with lag and shutter. So we should

3、Aperture
What is aperture? look at the picture below, we can imagine that circle is our eyes, the bigger the aperture (smaller value), the more light come into our eyes, we will feel brighter, it's same when come to camera, picture will lighter.
The bigger the aperture (smaller value), the depth of field will shallow and background will become blurred. Usually use it on capture portrait.
On the other side? The smaller the aperture (bigger value) the lesser the light come into our eyes, we will feel darker. So it's is the same when comes to camera, the picture will darker.
The smaller the aperture (bigger value), the deeper of the depth of field, background of the picture will become clearer. Usually use it on capture landscape.

Aperture between F1.6 ~ F2.2
Why we should choose bigger aperture (smaller value) instead of smaller aperture (bigger value)? Just now you wrote the smaller the aperture, the clearer the background! We need to aware a thing, we aren't only driving during daytime, we are also driving during night, if our aperture is not big enough (smaller value) the light of camera receives will less, our video will become really dark.

4、Field Of View
We should also take note on field of view (FOV) of the camera lens. The longer the lens, the narrower the angle ; The shorter the lens, the wider the angle. We should look for a wide-angle camera when comes to car dashcam.
We should pick
FOV between 130° ~ 150°
We should not pick a camera wider than 150°. This is because the angle wider than 150° the video will be out of shape. Therefore, 130° to 150° will be the most suitable angle for car dashcam.
5、Memory Card
We should not forget our memory card when buys car dashcam. Every video recorded will save on memory card. So the memory card storage size is the important point we need to consider. When purchasing car dashcam, you may purchase a bundle that is come with a memory card.
Your memory card storage size should depend on the pixel and fps that you choose. Different pixel and fps will have different size of video. For your reference, a 16gb memory card can record roughly one day driving. (roughly 60 minutes) Moreover, the memory card should be in 10 class level memory card.
